Tarliva livestock record guide

Plan dry-off from insemination and record the actual completion date separately.

The planned dry-off date helps organize work. It is not proof that the animal has been dried off.

What can you record in Tarliva?

  • Animal identity
  • Insemination date
  • Planned dry-off date
  • Actual completion date and notes

How do you track this in Tarliva?

  • Open the animal’s Reproduction section and relevant insemination.
  • Review the planned dry-off date and adjust it if needed.
  • Use the recorded date to follow upcoming work.
  • Record the actual dry-off when completed. Do not mark a plan as completed merely because its date has arrived.

Can the suggested timing be changed?

Yes. Business defaults can be adjusted and individual records can use different dates. Software defaults are planning aids; plan the procedure with your veterinarian.

Keep related records connected

Link heat, insemination, pregnancy checks, dry-off, births and calves to the correct animal. Review health and vaccination history on the same card. Keep planned dates separate from completed procedures and check the saved animal and dates.
